Refund policy
General Returns (Change of Mind)
Affordable Machinery does not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for "change of mind" on any in-stock machinery, special orders, parts, or custom-built equipment. All commercial sales are final, subject only to statutory consumer guarantees.
2. Return of Faulty Goods and Freight Responsibilities
If the Purchaser believes a product possesses a defect, they must notify the Supplier in writing within 48 hours of discovery.
a) Minor Failures: For minor defects addressed under the Express Warranty, the Purchaser is entirely responsible for the logistics and freight costs associated with returning the machinery or part to the Supplier’s premises for assessment and repair.
b) Major Failures: If the defect is assessed and confirmed as a major failure under the ACL, the Supplier will reimburse the Purchaser for reasonable, pre-approved return freight costs. The Purchaser must retain all transit receipts.
c) Invalid Claims: If the item is returned, assessed, and found to be free of defects, or if the defect was caused by operator misuse or lack of maintenance, the Purchaser will be strictly liable for all inspection fees, diagnostic labor, and return freight costs.
3. Third-Party Freight and Transit Damage
Where the Supplier facilitates freight via automated website portals or third-party logistics providers, the Supplier acts solely as an intermediary. The Supplier is not liable for transit delays, damage, or loss once the goods are transferred to the carrier. Purchasers are strongly advised to inspect all goods immediately upon delivery and report any transit damage on the carrier’s consignment note before signing.
