Final Drive Hydraulic Travel Motor – AM16

Genuine replacement final drive travel motor for the AM16 1.6T mini excavator. Delivers power from the main hydraulic pump to the track drive sprockets, enabling forward/reverse and speed control.

Specifications

  • Type: Axial piston radial motor (bent-axis design)
  • Displacement: 56–60 cc/rev
  • Max Operating Pressure: 16 MPa (160 bar)
  • Flow Rating: 35–45 L/min at rated pressure
  • Max RPM: 350 rpm (continuous duty)
  • Torque Output: 110 Nm at rated pressure
  • Port Connections: SAE flange (ISO 4401-05)
  • Rotation: Bi-directional (forward/reverse)
  • Case Drain: Required (separate return line to tank)

Compatibility

Fits: AM16 1.6T mini excavator (Laidong KM385 engine)

Hydraulic System: 16 MPa (160 bar) rated system

Note: Not compatible with AM10 or AM12 (different displacement and pressure specs)

Function & Performance

  • Power Delivery: Converts hydraulic flow to mechanical motion for track propulsion
  • Speed Control: Proportional flow control delivers smooth variable-speed operation
  • Efficiency: Bent-axis swashplate design optimizes power transfer
  • Duty Rating: Rated for continuous grading and travel (6–8 hours/day)

Installation Notes

  • System pressure must be 16 MPa (check before installation)
  • Flush all hydraulic lines with clean ISO VG 46 fluid
  • Install new seals and gaskets (included with replacement)
  • Case drain line MUST be connected to tank (not pressure line)
  • Prime motor with fluid before first operation to prevent cavitation
  • Bleed air from motor casing after connection
  • Test track movement through full range under light load

Maintenance

  • Change hydraulic fluid every 500 operating hours
  • Replace fluid filter every 250 hours
  • Inspect case-drain line quarterly (ensure unrestricted flow)
  • Monitor for slow travel speeds (sign of internal wear or pressure loss)
  • Check for oil leaks around shaft seal monthly
